Inspiring Parent Advocates
Elaine & Lester Sharlach co-founded the Southwestern Connecticut Chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), which they ran for five years and stayed involved in running parent support groups for countless more. In 2017, Triangle Community Center in Norwalk honored them for “35 years of making Fairfield Country a better place for the LGBT community.” Lester also wrote many a great Letter to the Editor of the Stamford Advocate against bias and discrimination.
