Jeffrey Sharlach is a successful entrepreneur, business school professor and published author, recently retired from JeffreyGroup, the international corporate communications consulting firm he founded in 1993. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Management Communication at New York University Stern School of Business. Jeffrey and his husband Edward “Kai” Chiu live in NYC and recently celebrated their 15th anniversary.
In 1977, Josh Silver, a recent college grad, lands a prestigious job at a Madison Avenue ad agency but struggles with his unresolved attraction to men. Seeking help to change his desires, he ultimately succumbs to New York’s vibrant gay scene in the post-Stonewall era, searching for love amidst the fast-paced sexual freedom. As the 1980s dawn and the AIDS crisis looms, Josh’s life takes a turn, forcing him to confront the fragility of beauty, youth, and life itself.
