Our programs are designed to make Stamford a place where every LGBTQIA+ person feels safe, seen, and celebrated — and where the businesses and organizations around them do their part, too.
Our Authentic Space Training is a free workshop offered to businesses, schools, healthcare providers, faith-based and community organizations in Stamford. We walk through creating affirming environments for LGBTQIA+ community members and leave plenty of time for Q&A.
This isn’t a checkbox exercise. It’s a real conversation that makes a real difference.
Anyone who lives in Stamford, or is affiliated with a Stamford-based business or organization can participate.
After completing the training, participants can take the knowledge gained to implement meaningful changes to affirm the LGBTQIA+ people they encounter every day.
The sixty to ninety minute training is offered in in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats. General sessions open to the public are offered periodically. “We periodically provide free virtual 60- to 90-minute Authentic Space Trainings to the general public. In addition, free training is provided for small nonprofits, schools and City of Stamford teams. Training of larger nonprofits and for-profit organizations of all sizes can also be arranged upon request.”

Raise the Flag is our visibility initiative for Stamford businesses and organizations that want to go on record — publicly and proudly — as LGBTQIA+ affirming spaces. Participants receive Stamford Pride materials and are recognized as community partners.

Our most ambitious ongoing initiative — a living archive of LGBTQIA+ histories, memories, and voices rooted in Stamford. Built in partnership with the Ferguson Library and supported by our generous donors and sponsors.
Stamford Pride maintains a strong presence throughout the community, participating in local events and partnering with organizations across the region—from Stamford Day and Hope Day to Pride celebrations and cultural festivals.
In addition to these appearances, we host a variety of programs throughout the year, including book clubs, professional networking events, 40+ gatherings, author talks, art exhibitions, and seasonal community celebrations.

Training offered to the community is free. Donations are welcome and help us keep it that way, and a contribution may be required of a for-profit business requesting training for their team.
